More Information

Bosman Family Vineyards have established themselves as a leading ethical producer of premium wine from South Africa. Grafting their own vines since 1888, this is a beautiful family story from vine to wine made in harmony with their family credo of faith, hope and love. (IWC Fairtrade Trophy winner 2012)

An 8th generation family story for the Bosman family who produce tantalizing wines from vines cultivated in their very successful vine nursery (the biggest in Africa) at Lelienfontein, harnessing generations worth of experience in the selection of premium sites for their vineyards and making quality driven wines with integrity to their terroir.

Their quality focus is paying off with Decanter Magazine selecting their Adama red as Best New World Red in 2009, Jannie Bosman (Snr) taking honours as Western Cape Farmer of the year (2009) and their Optenhorst Chenin Blanc (made from low yielding vines planted in 1952) winning the best Chenin Blanc in the Paarl/Wellington district in the SA Terrior awards 2008 & 2009.

Wine production is a delicate relationship between man and nature and the Bosman family, respecting their family credo of faith, hope and love, understands this relationship having recently received Fairtrade accreditation and closed one of the biggest BEE land reform transactions to date in 2008.
